Weirdipedia

It never ceases to astound me that Wikipedia actively punishes original work. Peer review is certainly important, but it seems to me that peer review is the purpose of a wiki.

It is absurd to suggest that truth can only be borrowed. This kind of idiocy leads to religion.

It would be perfectly reasonable for Wikipedia to highlight research as being original and unverified. If they did this chances are high the work would quickly be verified by multiple readers and Wikipedia would have increased the sum of human knowledge instead of merely indexing it.

As it stands, to publish original research in Wikipedia you have to circumvent the Wikiwankers by publishing it somewhere else and anonymously quoting yourself.
